Hanoi Tower.

Hanoi, Vietnam

The ultra-thin proportions and orientation of the 43-story tower contrast with a more predictable frontal massing in riverfront development. The 265,000-square-foot building stands in contrast to the city’s skyline of thick heavy office buildings. The tower’s exterior wall system will be constructed of architectural concrete, stainless steel panels, and clear glass with no tinting or mirror effect to create a sense of transparency and usher in sunlight. The east/west building axis is also responsive to urban view corridors from the center city to the river and park. Presenting its slim side to the water, the luxury tower, designed primarily with full-floor units, will preserve public views of the river from Hanoi city. By planning one condominium unit per the majority of floors, the broad north and south façades offer each residence 360-degree views to the city and river. The minimal west exposure limits sun control issues, and the façade ventilators allow natural ventilation at appropriate times of the year. Residents’ amenities include a health club, pool, screening room, and underground parking, as well as immediate access to a high-end restaurant and office space. The condominium units will range in size from 1,800 to 5,400 square feet.
